Gift Cards

Give the appointment.

A gift card here buys a man an hour with the door shut and nothing asked of him. Arranged directly with Amelia — by phone, or in the suite.

How to buy one

Gift cards are arranged directly with Amelia rather than through a checkout on this page. Call the suite on (832) 702-9432, or arrange one at your next appointment.

That is deliberate rather than a gap. A one-chair suite does not need a vending machine between you and the person doing the work, and it means the card can be made out for exactly what you have in mind.

Choosing an amount

The Signature Cut$35
The Traditional Hot Towel Shave$30
The Men’s Mini Facial$20
The Executive Detail$50
The Men’s Express Pedi$40

A card can be made out for a specific service or for an amount. An amount is usually the kinder choice: it lets him book what he actually wants rather than what somebody decided he needed, and it covers a gratuity if he wants to leave one.

Fifty dollars covers The Executive Detail outright. Sixty-five covers a cut and a shave with room to spare.

Who it works for

It works for the man who is difficult to buy for, which is most of them. It works for a father, a son on his first proper shave, a groom the week before, or someone who has had a hard year and will not book anything for himself.

It works less well as a hint. A gift card for a facial handed to a man who did not ask for one is a comment, not a present. If you are unsure, an amount rather than a named service solves it.

Redeeming

He books like anyone else — the suite is by appointment only — and mentions the card when he arrives. It applies against any service on the menu.
